Grinders will eventually get filled with smaller pieces of herbs and resin. In the case that this occurs the lid of the grinder can get stuck and become difficult to work with.
Simply follow these couple of steps to get your grinder clean!
Step one: Disassemble the grinder. Begin by separating each part of your grinder.
Step two: Soak the grinder in isopropyl alcohol or bong cleaner. Place the grinder in a Ziploc bag. Fill the bag with enough isopropyl alcohol or bong cleaner to fully submerge each part of the grinder. Let the grinder soak in the cleaner for twenty to thirty minutes. Shake every couple of minutes to help break apart and residue.
Step three: Scrub the grinder. Take the grinder out of the bag and pour out any leftover cleaner. Use a stiff-bristled brush to scrub your grinder.
Step four: Rinse and dry your grinder. Use warm water to rinse your grinder. Make sure to wash away all remaining alcohol. Dry off your grinder and you are now ready to use it again!
]]>At the Wee Smoke Shop, we carry packs by Boost and Boveda. To use a Boost or Boveda pack, simply unpackage it from the clear, plastic wrapping that it comes in and place it in your container or humidor.
So how do you know which one is right for you?
55% - This is the lowest percentage you can get. This percentage is too low for cigars or tobacco therefore it is most commonly used for smaller quantities of cannabis.
62% - This percentage is perfect for containing cannabis. This percentage is a little too low for cigars, however it is also common amongst those who do prefer their cigars to have a drier smoke.
69% - This percentage is perfect for containing cigars. It is a little too high for cannabis therefore it is recommended for containing cannabis if there may be air leaks in the container.
72% - Similar to 69% for cannabis, the 72% is ideal for cigars in the case that there may be any air leakage from the container.
75% - This percentage is quite high so it is mostly ever used to contain cigars if there is a sufficient amount of air leakage.
4 grams – This is the lowest size available. This size is most common for containing approximately 14 grams (half of an ounce) of cannabis, 12 grams of tobacco or one cigar.
8 grams – This size is ideal for containing 28 grams (one ounce) of cannabis, 24 grams of tobacco or 2 cigars.
67 grams – This size is good for containing 1 pound of cannabis, 2 pounds of tobacco, or 28 cigars.
320 grams – This size is ideal for containing up to 5 pounds of cannabis, 5 pounds of tobacco or 206 cigars.
It is important to have a fair understanding as to which pack you need to store your herbs and tobacco. Adding a pack too low will not provide enough moisture causing your herbs to dry out quicker. As well, adding too much moisture may cause your herbs and tobacco to mold.
These two-way humidity control packs work by balancing the moisture in the environment to prevent your herbs, tobacco, and cigars from drying out. These packs can last anywhere between two and six months, depending on the size of the pack, and the number of herbs/cigars that are being contained.

What is a dab rig:
A dab rig is commonly known as a concentrate pipe to use concentrate, heat it and smoke it. Similar to a bong, dab rigs filter concentrate vapor through water located at the base. Lastly, why rigs are amazing instruments and differ to pipes and other water pipes is because the dab rig require flash-heating which commonly used by a butane torch.
What is flash heating:
Well in general flash meaning sudden burst and heat meaning intense heat so flash heating relates to the sudden impact of intense heat in a short period this allows for the dab to reach desired temperature without over heating or under. The standard or rule of thumb is 10 : 30 ratio for dabbing 10 lit the dab rig then 30 cool to properly vaporize until you’re satisfied with the result and vapor produced.
What is concentrate:
◦ Concentrates by definition, are herbs that are concentrated from the herb itself and gives a smoother hit. It doesn’t produce as strong of odor as the herb sometimes do. Common forms and names are shatter and the wax
◦ The difference between wax and shatter is that wax concentrate is translucent and fragile whereas shatter is gooey with liquid like properties.
What’s the difference between ceramic titanium/metal and glass nails/pipe parts:
◦ Titanium is a metal and heats relatively quickly typically within 15 to 25 seconds and has heat retention
◦ Ceramic pipe takes 30 seconds longer to heat, but they also contain heat for the longest amount of time
◦ Pyrex glass comes standard with mot dab rigs Pyrex is considered least durable between the three and allow for smaller dabs rather than bigger longer lasting dabs
Since dab rig nails have domes or can be dome-less there is also a debate as to whether domed or dome-less nails are better nails with domes are considered safer because it covers more of a surface area to reduce injury to the consumer but both do the job pretty great.
Overall, when it comes to getting a part it’s all up to preference of the consumer. Whether you would like a part to absorb heat like ceramic does, or absorb and hold heat quick like quartz. Many like the durability of titanium nails and some love ceramic heat retention.

Once this is done you are ready to begin refilling your lighter. With your butane, remove the cap and line the tip up with your refill hole. You are then going to flip your lighter upside down and gently push down your butane can. You should hear a hissing sound which will let you know that the lighter is getting filled. After a couple of seconds, or when you hear it sputter, release your butane. If your lighter is still not yet filled, reapply the pressure again. It may take doing this 2 or 3 times before your lighter is completely filled. A way you’ll know when it is filled, is that you’ll notice some butane begin to overfill and leak a bit from the refill hole. Simply just wipe that away and you’re all set.
